Fireworks & Rollerblades is everything I hoped for and more. Benson Boone absolutely soars on this debut—delivering a collection of songs that are vulnerable, powerful, and totally addictive. It’s the kind of album that feels like flipping through someone’s most personal journal, but every page is wrapped in melody and magic. His voice? Unreal. Whether he’s belting out emotional choruses or softly pulling you into a tender verse, there’s something so real in the way he sings—it’s like he’s living every lyric right in front of you. “Beautiful Things” is already a modern classic, but songs like “Slow It Down,” “Cry,” and “Forever and a Day” are just as breathtaking. There’s so much heart here, and you can feel every bit of it. What makes this album so special is its emotional range—Benson takes us from heartache to healing, from quiet reflection to explosive anthems, and it never feels forced. The production is polished but never overdone, always letting his storytelling and vocals shine front and center. The only reason I’m holding back half a star is because there are a few moments where the pacing dips just a little—but honestly? It’s barely noticeable when you’re this emotionally swept up in the ride. Fireworks & Rollerblades is a debut that feels like a statement. Benson Boone isn’t just a rising star—he’s here, and he’s got something to say. This album made me cry, smile, and hit repeat more times than I can count. I can’t wait to see where he goes next, but for now? This is pure magic.
