Vice Versa is the moment Rauw Alejandro stops feeling like a rising star and starts sounding like a fully realized pop force. The album is confident, and packed with melodies that stick instantly, balancing futuristic pop, reggaeton, and R&B without losing its emotional core. Songs like “Todo de Ti” and “Desesperados” are undeniable highlights - catchy without being empty, polished without feeling soulless. Rauw’s vocal control and charisma are at their peak here, and you can hear how comfortable he is experimenting with brighter sounds and retro influences. That said, the album’s back half doesn’t always maintain the same momentum, and a few tracks feel more functional than inspired. Still, Vice Versa succeeds because of its clarity. Rauw knows exactly who he is and what he wants this album to be: stylish, emotional, and replayable. It may not take huge risks, but it perfects his formula enough to earn a strong defining chapter in his career.
