I mean, these songs are absolute classics. The music and lyrics are still timeless. So what is the problem? The animated version and even the live action now are so normal and kind and gentle and sound like a normal person. This broadway version is so operatic and bombastic. It does not feel natural as much as it feels like theater people super hamming up and overacting the original material. Not for me.
