“LISTENED: ??/??/2021 Child-like lyricism becomes a huge problem on this album, because it’s honestly difficult to take a few of these songs seriously. Deep emotional cuts, instruments and melodies that are incredibly interesting, but the lyricism and placement of those melodies makes this album sound like a really long album of outtakes and collages that didn’t make the cut on their earlier album.”

This album contains probably their worst lows in their whole careers, and whenever the song topics attempt to show something deeper, their style of lyricism and production almost always ruin it.”

“LISTENED: ??/??/2021 AJR’s style of combining different instruments in a collage following a melody becomes their staple on this album. And those melodies are REALLY damn good sometimes. At moments, you seriously need to just tune out the lyrics though, cause they talk like 8 year olds when recess is taken out of their school schedule.”

“LISTENED: 03/26/2021 Listened to this on drop, and i’d say this is AJR’s best album. I’m not a huge fan of AJR’s tendency to include child-like wordplay, but this contains their best themes, instruments use, and their most fleshed-out enticing melodies yet.”
