“**💭 Thoughts:** Deftones’ 1997 sophomore album *Around the Fur* is arguably one of nu metal/alternative metal’s most important albums. “As someone who doesnt really listen to deftones because im not a fan of the "screamy" singing style, i very much enjoyed all of the songs with his normal voice and less enjoyed the songs that primarily were yelling. This is a personal rating, and this is where i put in on my list but I do believe that as an album i did under rate it a little.”

“As a huge Deftones fan, I was never entirely impressed by this album even though majority of the fanbase considers this a masterpiece. Don’t get me wrong, this album is great! I really appreciate the raw nature of it and Chino’s vocals are undeniably god-like, but I really consider this the awakening of the band for the better albums to come. “personally my favorite deftones album. chinos voice is perfect front to back of the project. the production is absolutely insane with songs like sextape, risk, beauty school, rocket skates, 976-evil, cmnd/ctrl and this place is death (so underrated). i do not believe there is a single skip on the entire album. WE love fat chino❤️🩹”
