Vie
“Vie feels like Doja Cat time-traveling straight into the ‘80s and honestly, as someone who loves that era, I was locked in. The synths shimmer, the basslines bounce, and there’s this glossy, neon-coated atmosphere that feels inspired by vintage pop and funk without turning into full-on cosplay. What I appreciate most is how she balances nostalgia with her signature weirdness. There are moments that feel like they could sit next to a late-night radio classic from 1985, but then she flips the cadence or throws in a sly lyric that reminds you this is still very much Doja. The hooks are strong, the production is tight, and the album has that cinematic, roller-rink-at-midnight vibe I can’t resist. It’s not flawless at all, but there are a couple tracks blur together sonically — but as a fan of ‘80s textures and bold pop personalities, Vie hits that sweet spot between retro fantasy and modern edge.”
Hot Pink
“Such a good listen!!! It has some of the catchiest songs ever but it's also sooo versatile. The production is unique and new, and the features help the songs. Her rapping in this album is just so fun and quick and punchy. Wow”
Planet Her
“Doja cat at her best. It's the perfect mix of pop and rap to create magic. Singles like Get into it yuh, options, woman, Need to Know. It just sooo goood”
