Blonde
“R&B crooner returns with avant-garde minimalism and understated depth”
channel ORANGE
“Simply put, a heartbreaking work of staggering genius”
channel ORANGE
“Frank Ocean has quickly proven himself to be among the most gifted singer-songwriters of his generation. His major-label debut swings from Stevie-style keyboard breeziness to 90s R&B to mystic psych rock to crunching 8-bit funk without thinking twice. It already feels like a classic.”
Blonde
“Frank Ocean's long-awaited second studio album is poetic, weird, complicated and quietly pertinent”
Blonde
“Four years after the landmark Channel Orange, two new releases from Frank Ocean find him writing richly emotional songs for a quieter, more meditative space.”
Blonde
“Our take on R&B singer's long-awaited second album”
Blonde
““Blonde” by Frank Ocean is a sparse, atmospheric, and emotionally evasive album that talks about memory, identity, love, childhood, and growing up. The album feels like a bunch of memories stitched together to create an atmospheric and emotional experience. The album has no traditional structure, with vocals dramatically changing and instrumentals hanging like unfinished thoughts. The minimalistic approach from Frank forces the listener to think and sit with their emotions, instead of just casually listen. Overall, Blonde feels like a lost memory, lingering and devastatingly nostalgic.. which is why it’s a clear 10/10 from me.”
channel ORANGE
“frank ocean crafts a freeing, emotionally resonant album where storytelling, vivid imagery, and versatile vocals glide over lush production and gospel-tinged ambience; every track feels deliberate, connected, and deeply human, making channel orange a cohesive, radiant body of work that fully realizes its emotional and artistic vision.”
Blonde
“Blond is my favourite album ever. It’s one of two albums I actually have tattooed on my body. It’s soulful, sorrowful, and conscious. The best tracks include Seigfried, Ivy, and Self Control (my favourite song ever) and all tackle the theme of someone knowing exactly what they want, but knowing it’ll never happen. If you haven’t heard this song I emplore you to. A good place to start may be the song Ivy as it beautifully demonstrates the tone and themes of the album with one of the catchier tunes on the project.”
Blonde
“Whew, this album is a roller coaster of emotions. Currently, in my life, I’m trying to put vulnerability front and center, and I think this album is all about doing so. This album also tends to make me thing deeper no matter what the subject is , for me it’s finding who i am. The sounds of this album are simply just so angelic.”
channel ORANGE
“Really decent album from Frank Ocean, I feel on this album Frank uses his voice and vocals a lot more and carries the album with that, compared to ‘blonde’ where it’s very production focused. Supper chilled out vibes on the album, top songs are ‘Thinkin Bout You’ ‘Pyramids’ ‘Lost’ ‘Pink Matter’ ft André 3000 ‘Forrest Gump’”
Blonde
“Good album, just a bit overhyped. Take nothing away from it though, it has some great songs and some of Franks best songs in his discography but some quite boring drawn out ones too that overcrowd it a bit. Top Songs ‘Nikes’ ‘Ivy” ‘Solo’ ‘Nights’ ‘White Ferrari’ ‘Pink + White’”
channel ORANGE
“Every song is absolutely amazing except for the final song “forest gump”. Still a great song but just too gay for me lmao, nothing against it just what I like to listen to. Great album tho”
channel ORANGE
“Selon moi channel ORANGE est même mieux que BLOND, surtout car il y a moins d’interludes. C’est aussi cet album qui contient le plus de classiques de Frank Ocean.”
