North taking music seriously is something I love to see. I love her father’s music. But she’s trying way too hard to be Yeezus and 808s. I’m going to be nice and say it does definitely remind me of it. The production is really good besides the extremely loud 808s. Even louder than stuff like Yeezus and 808s. I mess with it. It’s definitely her sound that can totally evolve as she makes more music. Her rapping needs work, like any other young teenager. And she has the resources to be able to get better (Ye and other higher ups.). It’s definitely something to work on, but it’s not terrible. But I like the teenage angst. That’s something we didn’t really get with Ye. Something new. I will give her this, this is a pretty good entrance to the modern music industry. I like the loud energy. It’s just how will she develop it and shape it into something more polished and more unique. No doubt she’s making the music she likes, but it’s pretty generic. Overall it’s a little below par entrance. But it’s an EP for a reason. If she stays like this and doesn’t develop (which she most likely will.). This is definitely a bad Nepo baby situation.

I’m sure she gets it from her father and it’s quite obvious but she has really impressed me with this and “Piercing On My Hands”. Not sure if it’s all her but if it is she’s insanely talented. i love the subtle jerk rock beats that she includes here and the alternative aesthetic she has going on. I can’t absolutely love the music as it still sounds like a kid making music but i will not disregard the fact that it’s good. Can’t wait to hear more to see the development. This was a decent EP.
