Man’s Best Friend
“The pop star’s Short n’ Sweet follow-up is as brainy as it is raunchy, with clever wordplay superseded only by inspired form.”
Man’s Best Friend
“The brightest star in pop basks in soul-piercing honesty — and has a lot of fun doing it”
Man’s Best Friend
“pop’s bawdy troubadour hits the melodic G-spot”
Man’s Best Friend
“Her great seventh album delivers a thoroughly modern tour of dating set to a Seventies pastiche sound”
Short n’ Sweet
“In the past, it was sometimes hard to work out who Sabrina Carpenter was. Her early albums, like 2015’s ‘Eyes Wide Open’ and its 2016 follow-up ‘Evolution’, presented a young pop star trying to find her groove but instead getting lost in the trends of the time. It wasn’t until 2022’s ‘Emails I Can’t Send’ – Carpenter’s fifth album, but also the first where she had full creative control – that her ”

“These songs are usually filthy, always funny, often mean, yet she roasts herself along with everyone else”

“This album to me continues to be Sabrina’s best as each album comes out. The concept of this record representing different phases and ways of trying to communicate with people around you but ultimately failing is so genius. One of my favorite tracks tornado warnings while being a song about coming to terms with the fact you might not be over your ex, you can’t admit to anyone this information. The craziest part of that song is how the production like all songs on this albums just completely carries each to a different realm. The deluxe songs as well gave this album even more recognition and prove to me that this was Sabrina’s first time really in her element as an artist (even if I still love evolution and the singulars). My Top 3: Tornado Warnings, Decode, Because I liked a boy”
Short n' Sweet
“Short n’ Sweet feels like Sabrina Carpenter fully locking into her pop star confidence without losing the charm that made fans stick around in the first place. The album is playful, flirty, and sharp, but there’s real growth underneath the sugar. Her songwriting is witty and self-aware, the hooks hit effortlessly, and her personality shines on every track. As a fan, it’s satisfying to hear her sound this comfortable in her own lane. She is owning the moment, having fun, and still delivering emotionally when it counts. Sweet, smart, and surprisingly replayable.”

“Emails I Can’t Send FWD is the album that fully pulled me into Sabrina Carpenter’s world. It’s raw without feeling messy, personal without trying too hard, and emotionally sharp in a way that sneaks up on you. The songwriting feels like reading pages you weren’t meant to see…honest, vulnerable, and sometimes uncomfortably relatable. As a music fan, this project didn’t just impress me, it converted me. It showed Sabrina as a real storyteller, not just a pop voice, and that authenticity is what makes the album linger long after the last track ends.”
Man’s Best Friend
“Man’s Best Friend shows Sabrina Carpenter continuing to refine her voice and perspective, even if it doesn’t hit quite as hard as her strongest projects. The album is charming, emotionally aware, and filled with moments where her personality and lyrical wit shine through. As a fan, it’s easy to appreciate the honesty and softness she brings here - it feels like a transitional chapter rather than a defining one. Not her boldest statement, but still a solid, heartfelt listen that fits nicely into her evolving catalog.”
fruitcake - EP
“Nice and cheeky Christmas EP. Played it on loop quite often on Christmas seasons”
Man’s Best Friend
“What do you do after releasing one of the best pop albums of the decade? You release cool downed version. This album is very similar to Short and Sweet but not as pop or catchy. It’s a lot softer and toned down. She still keeps her cheecky energy but it more sway.”
Short n' Sweet
“Fantastic singles, some hits throughout, but a few misses as well. Feels like a pathway to its successor more than its own identity. Favs: Taste, Please Please Please, Coincidence, Bed Chem, Slim Pickins, Juno Meh: Sharpest Tool, Dumb & Poetic, Lie to Girls”
Man’s Best Friend
“After the first time I heard this album I couldn’t stop for that first week that album was my top on Airbuds it’s just really upbeat and a fun album will say might be her second best album if your looking for something fun and out of pocket”
