Reneé Rapp’s Bite Me is a bold, emotionally raw debut that blends pop with a sharp, confessional edge. Her vocals are powerhouse level vulnerable one moment, fierce the next and she doesn’t hold back when diving into heartbreak, identity, and self-worth. Tracks like “Leave Me Alone” and “Shy” stand out for their honesty and addictive hooks, and there’s a theatricality in her delivery that makes the whole album feel deeply personal yet cinematic. You can hear shades of her Broadway roots, but this is pop music that feels uniquely hers. It’s not flawless! some moments dip into familiar territory but overall, Bite Me proves Rapp isn’t just an actress who sings. She’s a genuine pop artist with something to say, and she says it loud.
