If you’re into neat categorizations, the Londoner Louis Carnell is a grime producer. But his debut album, billed as “a personal portrait of anxiety,” squirms out of all such neat categories. With it, he's succeeded in making a statement that's not just a flexing of experimental techniques, but something rich and human, too.
