Heart and soul was poured out into this album. We see the struggle of Daniel wanting to be like his father and his walk with Christianity. Powerful songs like “who knows” that walk the line of want and satisfaction. And other songs like “moon” that talk about his longing for more in life.

Coming into Son of Spergy as a new Daniel Caesar fan, this album immediately pulled me into his world. The vocals are smooth, the songwriting feels honest, and the production creates a dreamy R&B space that’s easy to get lost in. Caesar balances vulnerability with confidence, making the music feel both intimate and timeless. A couple tracks don’t hit as hard, but the emotional weight and musical richness across the album make it a standout listen. As a newcomer, this record definitely turned me into a fan.
