Tokyo Police Club frontman David Monks has joked that the Strokes' “Juicebox” and Weezer's “Hash Pipe” were spiritual guides for the band during the creation of Forcefield, the band's first album in four years. It's a pop record, produced like pop and structured to grant instant gratification.
