Kendrick Lamar (2016)
“Album Review #85”
“LISTENED: 5/19/2026 This album serves as the outtakes from the studio sessions made while creating the album before this release, that being a project named “To Pimp A Butterfly”. Being outtakes, the narrative is all over the place on this album, but still has a very solid depth in lyricism, while showing a bit of an experimental side musically. I see why some of these songs were taken out, as they are really dragging in length at times, stray away from the narrative in the project before, but it does show some unfinished potential in its approach to its soundscape. Nothing much.”
