Oozing Wound have roots in Chicago noise rock, but last year’s Retrash owed as much to Voivod’s sci-fi weirdness as it did to crossover thrash’s streetwise attitude. On their new album the band has largely dropped the sci-fi lyrics, but not their humor, riffs, or rage.
