“Won’t get any better mixtapes than 1999. 17 years old Joey Bada$$ was when this dropped which is absolutely insane! A classic, grungy, boom bap style beat throughout the album which goes perfect with Joeys delivery and his wordplay and writing on this project for a 17 year can’t get any better. Joey really had all the tools to take over rap but struggled to bring out an album better than this one. Top songs are “Waves” “Survival Tactics” “Righteous Minds” “Killuminati” “FromdaTomb$” “World Domination””
