This album is just full of personality. Sierra mixes folk, bluegrass, and old-time country so naturally it never feels forced. Songs like Dollar Bill Bar and American Dreaming hit hard emotionally, while tracks like I Could Drive You Crazy are playful and fun. The way the album flows from heartbreak to humor to reflection makes it feel like a journey, you’re never stuck in one mood. My only gripe is a couple of slower songs that don’t grab you as fast, but overall it’s a super solid record.

The Nashville-via-West Virginia singer-songwriter’s sophomore effort draws inspiration from jazz, bluegrass and mid-century country, arriving detailed, lived-in and nuanced.
