Tasteful — This song is a lot of things to me. It’s a bittersweet homage to what dance music once was in the 2010s. It’s contrast stitched with modern progression for dance tracks now, yet the synths bleed nostalgia. It’s a refresher seeing how trendy internet culture controls edm and the way it’s perceived now. This song captures the sound that once was a driving movement for the lifestyle internet culture nostalgia baits on a daily basis. It upsets me that this captured sound is constantly overlooked or even dismissed completely today. This track does give me hope. It seriously proves how creative and tasteful electronic music continues to grow and raises the bar every day. Producers like xaev continue to blossom and push not just their own sound, but continue to shine light on classic edm tracks as such, that were so defining, not just for music but for entire pockets of culture as well.
