Balloonerism
“Balloonerism puts Mac Miller's wit, poignancy, and freewheeling creativity on full display; it being able to reach more ears now is only a good thing.”
Balloonerism
“Balloonerism is an emotional and plaintive posthumous entry for Mac Miller”
Circles

“posthumous album is a conflicting, tantalising taste of what might have been”

“In 2011, Mac Miller was breaking records. After releasing a handful of critically and commercially beloved mixtapes, he dropped his debut album ‘Blue Slide Park’, which became the first independently-distributed debut album to top the Billboard charts since 1995, and spawned a string of outrageously catchy bops (including blistering ‘Frick Park Market’). After that came several more albums and ano”
The Divine Feminine
“As a loose concept record about the many subtleties of love and distance, the Pittsburgh rapper's new release is the most surprising, concise, and accomplished album of his career.”

“A truly incredible album, the easiest 10/10 you’ll find. Come Back To Earth perfect intro, a completely different Mac Miller to all his previous work straight off the bat. Nice soft chords and synths create an amazing vibe paired with Mac’s more melancholy tone and a theme of Mac dealing and battling his depression. Hurt Feelings A more hip hop and rapping approach from Mac on this track over some great production from J.Cole, still with this more melancholy and downbeat vibe. What’s The Use? An amazing track with incredible production, with a more upbeat mood on this track. Lyrics from Mac are great and the production from Thundercat with the deep funky bass guitar paired with similar synthy notes found on ‘The Divine Feminine’. Perfecto Again back to the more Melancholy, chilled out sound on this track from Mac with the production and writing. Self Care Next level from Mac. Production on the first half of the song is great with another helpless feeling with Mac’s writing but the second half beat switch is unreal with Mac almost coming to his senses and finally relaxing with a much more uplifting feeling to the song. Wings Such a great track. Much more chilled out compared to the previous four songs, almost like a comedown from the high at the end of the previous track ‘Self Care’. Ladders A much more upbeat feeling to this song compared to the last and a lot more uplifting with the writing from Mac and also with the production with a more groovy vibe with trumpets included in the instrumental. Small World Again a much more upbeat vibe on this track from Mac. Conversation Pt. 1 Almost stepping away from the album itself, Mac has a more introspective and conscious approach on this track. Dunno On this track Mac reflects on his past failed relationship (presumably with Ariana Grande) over a downbeat, lowkey production, paired with some lowkey rapping and some drawn out vocals as well. With the end of the song coming in with a more hopeful end that the relationship could be saved. Jet Fuel Some really good rapping and writing from Mac on Jet Fuel, again following a more downbeat, lowkey vibe. 2009 A beautiful track with some really great writing from Mac over a light upbeat piano, making a much more hopeful feel. So It Goes Incredible from Mac. The prefect outro for the perfect album. Starting with these heavy, repetitive drums over a trippy string in the background with Mac laying all his feelings out, his exhaustion, insecurities, trust issues, relationships. Then the beat slowly building and building with Mac’s rapping becoming more loopy and almost delirious. Then Mac starting the hook for the last time, these amazing synths begin take over, getting louder and louder until they are the sole sound on the song. Again getting louder and more intense then finally mellowing out in a grand finale. In my opinion Mac creating what ascending into heaven would sounds like, which is truly heartbreaking in hindsight with this being the last album Mac Miller would release before his tragic untimely passing. Miss you Mac heart🤍”
The Divine Feminine
“Love love love love love. Up there with Mac Millers best work, this album from start to finish is incredible. All the features play a part in making this such a special album from Anderson .Paak to Ariana Grande to Ty Dolla $ign. The intro is a perfect start and introduction to the album as a whole. The mid part being the song “Cinderella” is arguably the best song on the album. And the outro “God is Fair, Sexy Nasty” is a perfect closer to the album as a whole. Top songs for me are “Congratulations” ft Bilal “Dang!” Ft Anderson .Paak “Stay” “Cinderella” ft Ty Dolla $ign “Soulmate” “My Favourite Part” ft Ariana Grande “God Is Fair, Sexy Nasty” ft Kendrick Lamar”

“Really solid album and holds up really well for a 2012 release. Mac really begins to experiment with this album and starts to stray away from his usual bar for bar rapping and go for a trippy melodic approach for a good few songs on the album. Macs rapping is great on here too and features like Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar & Joey Bada$$ really gives the album a boost. Top songs off the album for me are ‘Desperado’ ‘Loud’ ‘Thought From a Balcony’ ‘Fight The Feeling’ ft Kendrick Lamar & Iman Omari ‘Sunlight’ ft Iman Omari ‘America’ ft Casey Veggies & Joey Bada$$”
Watching Movies with the Sound Off
“Really solid album from Mac. At the time this was definitely his most creative album and most experimental, straying away from the happy, upbeat, goofy rapping and going for this more druggy, trippy style with a lot more singing and a much more lowkey tempo and flow. A lot of really great songs on here and the production on the album is great as well. Top songs are ‘S.D.S’ ‘I Am Who I Am (Killin’ Time)’ ft Niki Randa ‘Object In The Mirror’ ‘Gees’ ft ScHoolboy Q ‘Watching Movies’ ‘Someone Like You’”
Circles
“Heartbreaking posthumous release from Mac Miller. One of the best handled posthumous albums from an artist. This albums production is top level and the melodic approach from Mac on most of the songs comes off really well. This album shows the potential Mac had to evolve and become an even better artist but sadly that was taken away from us. RIP Mac 🕊️🤍 Top Songs are “Circles” “Good News” “Woods” “Complicated” “Surf” “Blue World” “Once A Day””

“The ultimate summer mixtape? Macs debut project is brilliant, filled with upbeat, good vibes & fun hits from front to back. This album has a lot of Macs earlier classics in his career and for releasing in 2010 most of the songs still hold up incredibly well to this day. Top songs for me are ‘Outside’ ‘Get Em Up’ ‘Nikes On My Feet’ ‘Senior Skip Day’ ‘The Spins’ ft Empire Of The Sun ‘Ride Around’ ‘Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza’ ‘Poppy’”

“A dive into the wacky, wonderful and tragic mind of Mac Miller. A really solid mixtape from Mac Miller with a lot of gems on it, however being well over an hour long there are some points where the album does drag a little. Top songs are ‘Diablo’ ‘Inside Out’ ‘Friends’ ft ScHoolboy Q ‘Angel Dust’ ‘Funeral’ ‘San Francisco’ ‘Colors & Shapes’”
GO:OD AM
“Solid album from Mac, some good writing and performances on a lot of the songs, production really good as well. Little bit of a weak end to the album but still a great selection of songs to go back to. Top songs on the album are “Brand Name” “Rush Hour” “100 Grandkids” “Weekend” Ft Miguel “Clubhouse” “Perfect Circle / God Speed” “ROS””
