Men I Trust (2019)
“Oncle Jazz | 9.6/10 - Exceptional”
“**💭 Thoughts:** Men I Trust’s 2019 LP *Oncle Jazz* sees the duo turned trio moving away from the sound of their first two albums, and heading in an almost entirely new direction towards dream pop and chillwave. They decided to make Emma Proulx their sole vocalist, compared to their previous albums where she was only a guest singer among many others. They transition to this new sound feels seamless, with Emma’s delicate vocals, atmospheric synths, hypnotic guitars, gentle drumming, and funky bass lines. The album can feel bloated at times, however it doesn’t take away from the experience if you are willing to simply vibe with it. **🎶 Tracklist Review** 1.) Oncle Jazz 🔵 2.) Norton Commander 🔵 3.)
