Laufey’s A Matter of Time is dreamy, timeless, and full of the emotional storytelling that makes her music so magnetic. She blends jazz, classical, and modern pop in a way that feels both vintage and fresh, carrying you through heartache, longing, and quiet moments of joy with elegance. Her voice is warm and intimate like she’s singing directly to you and the arrangements are lush without ever feeling overdone. The album might not surprise longtime fans as much as it comforts them, but that’s part of its charm: it’s consistent, graceful, and beautifully crafted. A Matter of Time feels like curling up with a favorite book. You know exactly why you keep coming back.

i’m gonna be honest i’ve always found her music to be very derivative but overall she really surprised me. the lyricism didn’t really improve but i love the arrangements on this one, especially the strings, i found myself just tuning her out to hear the instrumentals. her voice is lovely but i wish she would work on changing her range cause the songs do blend together at times. fav song is cuckoo ballet(interlude) it’s so so dreamy

There are several highlights on A Matter of Time, but for the most part Laufey's takes on classic pop sounds still yield mixed results.
