“boy is a bold, explosive electroclash project that embraces chaos with intention, delivering glitchy, high-energy production that feels deliberate, youthful, and deeply in touch with its moment. it thrives on clashing sounds, strong transitions, and an expressive, hype-driven identity, even if its narrative and lyrics are uneven and sometimes dissolve on impact (this is the reason why i can’t bring myself to rank it higher, despite this project being MY cup of tea). imperfect but compelling, it prioritizes feeling over storytelling — and for the most part, it works.”
