There’s something comforting about coming back to Your Favorite Toy. It hits that familiar Foo Fighters groove that I’ve been hooked on since my high school days. As someone who grew up on both their catalog and classic rock staples, you can feel those roots baked into the DNA here: big guitars, punchy hooks, and that raw, no-frills energy. That said, it doesn’t quite reach the heights of their best work. Some tracks blur together, and a few choruses don’t hit as hard as you’d hope. But even at its most uneven, there’s still enough grit and heart to keep me locked in. It’s the kind of album that reminds you why you became a fan in the first place..even if it doesn’t fully evolve the sound. A solid, if slightly safe, addition to their legacy.
