Can’t give it a 10 as it is only day 1 BUT! this album is perfection…. This feels like the true return to form for Melanie since K-12 . Nailing every concept and speaking about issues that plague our modern society through a dystopian lense. The best songs on this album deal with metaphors for our history that actually still trouble us today (the plague, and the Vatican especially). This is an album I am confident will forever be remembered in her discography and is definitely contender for my fave albums of the year already. The production led by Cj Baran (pity party, cake and the portals album) is perfectly capturing the atmosphere an this has me extremely excited for part 2 of this saga coming out later this year. For Melanie’s longest album yet its duration is a blessing and I confidently will have this on repeat all year long. Top 3: Avoidant, The Vatican, Is this a Cult?
