Deadbeat
Tame Impala (2025)
“LISTENED: 10/17/2025 Listening to this album on release and seeing the roll-out in real time felt like a prank when the actual album dropped. Having the only few good songs on your new album be used as the singles for the roll-out is actually hilarious. Some (aka most) of these songs sound like demos, and I barely made it out of that 8-minute song alive.”

Deadbeat delivers that classic Tame Impala haze—dreamy vocals, shimmering synths, and hypnotic grooves, but with a looser, rougher edge. Some tracks drift a bit too far into the fog, but the standout moments still hit that nostalgic, melodic sweet spot. Not his strongest work, but a solid vibe-heavy listen that’s easy to sink into
